In plain words

Two rules cover most of this: do not fake your numbers, and disclose advertising as advertising. The rest is the list of things a marketplace handling other people’s money has to prohibit outright. Breaking these can cost you a payment, your account, or both.

01Do not fake your reach

This is the one that matters most, because everything else on Influj rests on it.

  • No bought followers, subscribers, views, likes or comments.
  • No engagement pods, follow-back rings or comment exchanges.
  • No bot traffic to a tracking link, and no clicking your own links to inflate results.
  • No connecting a channel you do not own or manage, and no misrepresenting whose audience it is.

We run automated checks for implausible growth and engagement patterns, and a brand can report a channel. Established manipulation voids the affected campaign, forfeits the related payment, and usually closes the account.

02Disclose advertising

Every piece of paid content must be identifiable as an advertisement, as the ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 require. Use a clear label — #ad, #sponsored, or the platform’s own paid partnership tool — placed where someone sees it without tapping “more”.

We check live posts for a disclosure and will hold or reject a deliverable without one. A brand that asks a creator to leave the disclosure off is in breach of this policy and of the law.

03Do not misrepresent what you are selling

  • No claims a brand cannot substantiate, especially about health, income or investment outcomes.
  • No before-and-after imagery that has been altered to exaggerate a result.
  • No impersonating another person, brand or organisation.
  • No promoting a product the creator has been told is unsafe, counterfeit or recalled.

04Prohibited categories

Campaigns for the following may not be run on Influj, whether or not they are lawful somewhere:

  • Real-money gambling, betting and fantasy sports played for money.
  • Tobacco, vaping, and alcohol where surrogate advertising rules would be breached.
  • Prescription drugs, and unapproved treatments or supplements making medical claims.
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
  • Adult content and services.
  • Unregulated financial products, cryptocurrency trading schemes, loan-shark lending and anything promising guaranteed returns.
  • Counterfeit goods, pirated media and academic-fraud services.
  • Multi-level marketing and pyramid recruitment.

05Treat people decently

  • No harassment, threats, or abuse in campaign messages — including pressure to accept a lower fee after work has been delivered.
  • No discrimination in creator selection on caste, religion, gender or disability.
  • No sharing a counterparty’s personal details outside the platform.
  • No hate speech, and no content that endangers the sovereignty, integrity or security of India.

06Do not work around the platform

Taking a collaboration you found on Influj off-platform to avoid commission also takes away the escrow, the signed agreement and the dispute process — which is usually the creator who loses. Deliberate circumvention is a breach.

Also prohibited: creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, scraping the creator directory, probing the platform’s security without written permission, and reselling access to your account.

07What happens if you breach this

Proportionate to what happened and whether it is repeated:

  • A warning, and a chance to fix it — for a missing disclosure caught early.
  • The deliverable rejected and payment withheld pending correction.
  • The campaign voided and escrow returned to the brand.
  • Restrictions on applying to campaigns for a period.
  • Account closure, and where money or fraud is involved, a report to the authorities.

We tell you what rule we think you broke and what evidence we relied on, and you can challenge it through grievance redressal.

08Reporting a breach

Email grievance@influj.com with what you saw and any reference you have. Reports about fake metrics are welcome and are checked against data we already hold, so they rarely come down to your word against theirs.
